I've run the floor. I'll fix yours.
I'm Matt. I started Pints & Prospects because most outbound advice comes from people who have never carried a number or coached a rep through a brutal month. I have. I help seed to Series A teams and growth-minded recruitment firms build outbound that actually books meetings.
How did I get here?
I spent ten years in hospitality, working my way up to running cocktail bars and restaurants in some of the biggest cities in the UK. Long nights, real pressure, and a craft you only learn on the floor with people in front of you.
Then I was made redundant. I moved into corporate sales, climbed a few rungs, and quickly clocked how fake most of it was. All script, no substance.
So I went into tech sales, and that's where the real love of the trade kicked in. I learned how to call, how to close, and how to lead a team that does the same. Now I help other teams do it.
What did that teach me?
Most founders and sales leaders don't have an outbound problem on paper. They have reps dialling hard and a calendar that still won't fill. That gap is almost always coaching, messaging, targeting or process, not effort. Finding which one, fast, is the job.
Why fractional?
You don't need a full-time VP of Sales at five to sixty people. You need someone who has built the motion before to come in, fix what's broken, and leave you with a team that can run it without you. That's fractional. Senior help, none of the overhead.
Why me?
Plenty of consultants will sell you a framework off a slide. I've carried the bag and led the floor, so the advice holds up when a real rep is staring down a real objection at 4pm on a Friday. If it doesn't move pipeline, meetings or conversion, I'm not interested in it either.
How do I work?
Diagnosis first. I find out what's actually broken before I touch anything. Then the fix, built to your team and your market, not a template. Then rollout, so it sticks after I'm gone. Everything ties back to the only scoreboard that matters: meetings booked and pipeline created.
Why the pints?
Ten years in bars and restaurants taught me the best conversations happen over a drink, not across a boardroom table. Approachable beats polished. Work with me and you get a straight talker who will tell you what's wrong, then help you fix it.
Recognised for it, not just talking about it
